What a horse! Absinthe is a big, beautiful stallion with large bones, excellent even angled feet; balanced conformation with a powerful square built hind end and legs that come out of each corner beautifully. a fun and funny disposition, overall easy to handle. Great mover with a tremendous canter he has a lot of fabulous qualities to bring to the table and his foals are all trainable balanced beautiful athletes whose owners rave about their greatness!
Broke to ride and extremely athletic, if Abs was started earlier I feel sure he would be a national champion sport horse and completed the Tevis cup. He’s not easy to ride however and best worked every day. He takes an experienced and consistent rider – he spent a long time not having to be ridden I can’t blame him for not being thrilled about it now :-p
He is a super good mover with a tremendous canter- his canter would bring a ‘9’ in the dressage world- it’s one of the best canters I’ve ever seen on an Arabian! Lovely trot as well he’s balanced, free, engaged and smooth. You don’t hear his feet hit the ground he’s always aware of where he puts his feet and Carries himself beautifully.
he has always been trainer owned and so has not had as much opportunity as he deserves but the foals he has had are well loved by their owners – trainable and athletic as well as beautiful. His first filly, black, was exported and has been winning over seas. Other than that they are mostly with backyard owners who love them but there aren’t great photos to advertise his excellence as a sire. He deserves more opportunity and I hope to find that for him!
he’s been live covered and AI’d but not shipped. I have not tested his semen in the last 2.5 years while I’ve owned him but it is reportedly excellent. He’s easy to handle while teasing and breeding and is very much a gentleman.

This is an unbelievable opportunity on a great stallion who has a lot to bring to the table – traits that are very much needed in not just straights but the Arabian breed.
